Our Terms & conditions

Please bear in mind that for your safety and enjoyment of our experience we require all our guests to read and understand these terms and conditions before booking and joining any of our experiences.

  1. Only those who have purchased tickets will be allowed to participate in the walks and experiences.

  2. All walks and experiences will be supervised by a suitably trained and experienced employee, customers are not permitted to take alpacas unaccompanied or leave the group with the animal.

  3. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 18 years+)

  4. Children aged under the age of 6 years must share an alpaca with an adult.

  5. Please do not walk or touch the rear end of the alpaca as they may get spooked and react / kick out.

  6. All customers and visitors must dress appropriately from the outdoors and the weather.  Please wear closed toe, flat shoes (no sandals) and waterproofs and wellies if needed.  Shoes and clothing may get dirty, and we will not be held responsible for this or compensating for damages.

  7. You must stay near any children if they are taking part in an experience and be ready to take over if they get tired or are struggling. Most adults can hold a pulling haltered alpaca, but a young person may struggle.  We remind families that although our animals are gentle and friendly creatures, as with all animals they can be unpredictable.

  8. Walks and experiences are weather dependent and the safety and well fair of the animals are very important, therefore if the weather conditions are unsuitable for walking, then we will cancel the walk and offer an alternative date. We cannot give refunds for circumstances out of our control.

  9. Please let us know if you are pregnant and wish to take part in a walk/ experience.

  10. Pregnancy - we are a working farm with live animals.  We therefore have natural bacteria and parasites which in some circumstances may be harmful to pregnancy.  If you chose to visit the farm and participate in an experience we recommend you do not touch pregnant sheep or lambs and thoroughly wash your hands after being around any of our animals, especially before consuming food.

  11. A risk assessment has been carried out and updates regularly.  It is available upon request.

  12. Hand washing facilities are provided.  Those who accompany children have responsibility to ensure that adequate hand washing takes place for them.

  13. When booking a carer ticket please note, the carer will not be given their own alpaca to walk as they will be assisting the person they are accompanying that needs their support.

  14. All gift vouchers must be redeemed within 12 months of purchase.

Cancellations

  • We may be forced to cancel or postpone walks and experiences due to unsuitable weather conditions for alpacas. This includes heat waves or strong winds and heavy rain.

  • We will request an email address and phone number from you on booking and will contact you if there is a cancellation.  Please check these as we will not be held responsible for missed messages.  We will then arrange a mutually agreeable alternative date.

  • We are unable to offer refunds.

  • Cancellation and Rescheduling - Please be aware that we operate a 48 hour (2 working days) cancellation and rescheduling policy. If you do not contact us before 48 hours, we will be unable to move your experience. Please email us at info@nannysharonsalpacafarm.co.uk or message us directly on Facebook Messenger as soon as possible.  It is not always possible for us to answer the mobile phone so email and Messenger is the best & quickest contact method.

  • For cancellations outside of 48 hours a voucher will be issued, and no refunds will be given. We must uphold this policy under all circumstances.
